At JiranLink, we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors. Because we are an independent informational archive and not a transactional marketplace, we collect very little personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal details to browse our archives. We only collect information in the following specific scenarios:
- Community Tips: If you submit a tip via our form, we collect the content of your tip and any name you choose to provide for attribution.
- Email Inquiries: If you contact us via email, we collect your email address and the content of your message.
2. Use of Information
Any information provided through tip submissions is reviewed personally before publishing. If published, only the attribution name you provided (if any) will be visible to the public. We do not sell, rent, or trade your email address or personal data with any third parties.
3. Storage and Retention
Community-tip submissions are processed by Cloudflare Workers and stored in Cloudflare KV for up to 12 months while they are reviewed and incorporated into the archive. Cloudflare also processes limited technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and prevent automated abuse; JiranLink does not add that technical information to the stored tip.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use basic analytics tools to understand how our visitors use the site. This helps us identify which building guides are most helpful and which areas need more research. These tools use cookies to collect anonymous usage data (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages visited).
5. External Links
Our guides often link to official developer websites, Google Maps, or Waze. Once you leave JiranLink, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.
6. Updates
We may update this policy from time to time as our archive grows. Any changes will be posted on this page.
